Every moment we turn on the TV, radio, look at the newspaper headings, it’s all about COVID19. With the unfortunate times we are facing and being in isolation, we need to somewhat look on the bright side of things.
Whilst we are staying at home there are so many options to keep yourself and mind busy. If you have kids, you also need to keep them entertained. Mine are a little older now, so they both keep themselves busy with electronics, board games, imagative play (some will call it wrestling) or practising few soccer training drills.
Now is the perfect time to fix things around the house that you may have been putting off for some time. I wanted to share a little project we started a while back. It all started when our house was flooded back in 2019 and our entire carpet in our lounge room needed replacing. We thought with that carpet being replaced, why not get our bedroom changed as well. In order to replace the carpet, you need to remove all your furniture right! So it was and easy decision and we sold it all on Facebook Marketplace.
So here is a glimpse of our bedroom update, to give you a little inspiration on how small small upgrades can make a huge impact.
Hubby and I customised our king bedframe with an extended bedhead and a 4 drawer bed base from Harvey Norman
We struggled finding bedside tables that were high enough (to reach our phones), as everything was so low. We opted for these Flexi Storage cubes in ‘Oak’, with basket inserts ‘Water Hyacinth’. I wanted a little privacy with mine, so I also had 2 Drawer Insert ‘Gloss White’. Everything was purchased at Bunnings Warehouse
King size doona cover Home Republic 600TC Cotton Bamboo White Quilt Cover from Adairs
Bedcover set (no longer available in this pattern) from Sheridan
I hope you enjoyed our little make over! Once I return back to work, my desk will be removed from our room and the search for the perfect chest of draws will continue.
I especially love the room at night. Stay safe and together we can #flattenthecurve
